What are Fractal Narratives?
Fractal Narratives are built by inserting story between existing story fragments, creating a potentially infinitely complex narrative. A reader may start with a character introduction, expand this into a biography, expand this into motivations, and so on.
Writing better Fractal Narratives.
The quality of a Fractal Narrative depends heavily on the quality of the writing of each individual part. The single most important thing to remember is that the flow of the story must be maintained with each additional element. When writing a new paragraph try to include aspects from both the beginning and end of the section you are writing. Try to reference events, characters or ideas from both sides, as well as introducing new ideas that further enhance or expand the narrative.
